The 2016 Honda HRV compact crossover driver wants safety, security, solid looking, higher seating position, personal feel of a coupe, usability of a minivan with a higher ride height.

It offers a youthful, sophisticated, tough compact crossover.

The bold wide front end is strong with a sharply sculpted rear view. The interior is spacious and sporty feeling. Well designed and modern interior is appealing with a high quality feel.

Smart generous arm rests, 60/40 split rear seats, rear seats are very comfortable. Very large cargo area. 5 different cargo storage options make – they call it the “magic seat”. 58.8 cubic feet of cargo storage

Powered by a 4-cylinder 1.8L engine SOHC engine with 141hp and 127 lb-ft of torque.

2WD fuel economy- 28/35/31 mpg
4WD fuel economy – 27/32/29 mpg

6-speed Manual transmission offered in 2WD as an option or CVT for AWD and optional 2WD.

Driving impressions: couple- like steering feel, comfortable ride quality, quiet cabin, and a confident feel on the roadway. The suspension absorbs the usual road bumps and gives a nice ride and responsive handling.

Standard multi-view camera, including popular Lane Watch on high trims for safer lane changes to remove blind spots. Auto brake hold to stop a car rolling in traffic.

On the inside: There are a lot of soft touch surfaces for an entry level vehicle. High quality instruments on a piano-black surfaces. Lots of storage under the console, under armrest, and door pockets. We really liked the wide air flow vents.
