2015 Golf R is the most powerful version of the Golf ever to be sold in the US.

Direct injection TSI engine produces an extra 36 hp and 37 pound feet of torque more than its previous generation.

292 hp and 280 pound feet of torque, the Golf R is fitted with one of the most powerful four cylinder production engines in the world. The drive mode selector offers a race/track mode that allows adjustability for steering, engines and even lighting is adjustable.

Golf R features a sport suspension set up specific to the car the right height is .8 inches lower than that of the base Golf.

Using Refinement such as Haldex 5 coupling the Golf the latest generation 4Motion system helps to eliminate nearly all traction loss. With a track/ race mode setting to experience the maximum performance. Adaptive magnetic suspension which is similar to the Audi S3.

0 to 60 in just 4.9 seconds with a dual clutch automatic transmission and 5.3 seconds with a six speed manual transmission ($1100 less cost available as a 2016 model).

Brakes are his 13.4 inch ventilated discs upfront and 12.2″ on the ventilated rear rotors.

The new exterior elements for the Golf R include the bumpers, side skirts, rear diffuser, dual chrome exhaust tips, the Bi-Xenon head lights with adaptive lighting, unique DRLs and 18 inch aluminum alloy wheels. Optional 19″ wheels.
