I’m Lauren Fix, The Car Coach. The 2014 Chevrolet Impala boasts a completely new, seamless design that is both athletic and assertive. Let’s take a closer look.

Model — 2014 Chevy Impala
MPG — 25 City / 35 Hwy on the LS ECO
Engine — 2.5L, ECOTEC or 3.6L V6 engine
Price — Starts at $26,860

We test-drove the 2014 Chevrolet Impala. In addition to a bold new style and modern look, it offered many convenience features and safety technology that you would expect in a full-size sedan.

The ride was comfortable on the highways as well as driving around town. The back seats were equally comfortable and the Impala handled confidently on the road.

The Impala is available in multiple trim levels: LS, LT and LTZ. Standard features on the entry-level LS (which is four-cylinder only) include 18-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, keyless entry, cruise control, air-conditioning, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, full power accessories, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a trip computer, OnStar emergency communications, Bluetooth and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, satellite and HD radio, USB/iPod connectivity, an auxiliary input and a 4.2-inch color display. A convenience package with rear parking sensors, foldable rear headrests and a cargo net is the only option on the LS.

The LT offers 18-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, MyLink infotainment with an 8-inch touchscreen display, and Bluetooth streaming audio. Options on the LT are the Convenience package with parking sensors, a rearview camera and remote start, a Safety package with a collision warning system, a lane departure warning system, rear cross-traffic alerts, blind spot monitoring and Premium Seating package seat heaters; a Navigation package, keyless ignition/entry; Bose Audio and 19-inch wheels. The sunroof is optional.

All LTZ models come with leather upholstery and are eligible for exclusive options like 20-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control and the Comfort & Convenience package with ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, driver memory settings and auto-dimming mirrors.

Competes with:
• Buick LaCrosse
• Toyota Avalon
• Hyundai Azera
• Chrysler 300
• Ford Taurus

The 2014 Chevy Impala is now a fully redesigned car, with a spacious cabin, a comfortable ride and a host of new technologies. It deserves consideration if you’re shopping for a full-size sedan.

Remember, when shopping for a new car, test drive as many vehicles as you can in that class before making your final decision and for more information, go to our website. I’m Lauren Fix, The Car Coach.
