I’m Lauren Fix, The Car Coach. The 2013 Toyota Avalon is a full-size vehicle that offers spaciousness, plenty of luxury features, and is completely redesigned both inside and out. Let’s take a closer look.
Model — 2013 Toyota Avalon
MPG — 21 City / 31 Hwy
Engine — 3.5-liter V6 generates 268 hp
Price — Starts at $31,340
We test-drove the 2013 Toyota Avalon and liked the new dynamic design. Safety features include Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, that automatically adjusts vehicle speed to help maintain a preset following distance between you and the vehicle directly in front of you; backup camera, blind-spot monitor; and Safety Connect to name a few.
The 2013 Toyota Avalon is offered in four trim levels: XLE, XLE Premium, XLE Touring and Limited. The XLE comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, heated mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, full power accessories, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver seat with power lumbar support, a four-way power front passenger seat and heated front seats. Electronic features include keyless ignition/entry, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, a 6.1-inch central touchscreen display and an eight-speaker audio system with a CD player, auxiliary audio jack and an USB/iPod interface.
Inside, the Avalon’s standard leather-trimmed seats and soft-touch materials are a nice improvement. The Avalon Limited offers standard power-adjustable, premium perforated leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front seats, and premium leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift lever.
The engine is smooth and powerful and will provide plenty of acceleration to please most drivers.
Competes with many cars including:
• KIA Cadenza
• Hyundai Genesis
• Ford Fusion
• Chrysler 300
• Buick Lacrosse
The 2013 Toyota Avalon is fully redesigned with a dynamic new look, roomy seating in the front and rear, a large trunk, and generous interior storage.
