In this edition of Car Coach, YNN’s Lauren Fix takes a closer look at the 2014 Honda Odyssey.

The 2014 Honda Odyssey features a vacuum cleaner, the latest technology, and is ranked an IIHS Top Safety Pick.

The car earns 19 miles per hour in the city, and 29 miles per hour on the highway. It’s powered by a 3.5-liter VTEX V6 engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Prices start at $28,825.

We test drove the 2014 Honda Odyssey that was recently refreshed with a host of power trains, styling, interior features and safety upgrades. Standard features include Bluetooth Hands Free Link connectivity, a 4-way power passenger seat, Expanded View Driver’s Mirror, Pandora interface, and an SMS text messaging function. New available features include the Honda exclusive LaneWatch blind spot display, Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).

Additionally, Odyssey Touring Elite models will now come standard with the much-anticipated HondaVAC, the world’s first in-vehicle vacuum cleaner. It allows you to quickly and easily clean up dirt and debris from your minivan. The Odyssey seats up to eight people with plenty of cup holders and a roomy cabin with flexible adjustable storage.

Competes with:
•Toyota Sienna
•KIA Sedona
•Dodge Caravan
•Chrysler Town & Country
•Nissan Quest

The 2014 Honda Odyssey is a top pick for minivans thanks to its versatile interior, long list of features, and engaging driving dynamics.
