2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Review: Crossover utility vehicles have gained popularity. In this edition of Car Coach, YNN’s Lauren Fix takes a closer look at the Hyundai Santa Fe.

Model — 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe

Engine — 2.4L 4-cyl., 2.0L Turbo 4-cyl. or 3.3L V6 engine.
Warranty – Basic Warranty 5 Yr./ 60,000 Miles.

Our test vehicle was the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe FE Limited AWD. The vehicle came loaded with every option, plus the technology package, huge panoramic sunroof, 8-inch touch screen navigation screen, 12-speaker Infinity Logic Surround sound audio and a heated steering wheel. It was priced at $38,700.

The interior design was artistic and impressive with plenty of soft touch features in the interior. The seats were comfortable for our test drive and the third row seating was comfortable and easy to fold down.

As for ride and performance, the Santa Fe handled the road well, which translated into a comfortable ride. The Limited version also offers a blind-spot monitoring system.

If you are seeking better fuel economy, opt for the turbo or smaller engine. The car comes in four trim levels: Santa Fe Sport and Sport 2.0T, and Santa Fe GLS and Limited.

Standard features include Bluetooth, a Driver Selectable Steering Mode that offers a choice between Comfort, Normal and Sport, stain-resistant cloth seats and a six-speaker audio system. Upgrading to higher trims can add features such as a heated steering wheel, a 12-speaker Infinity sound system and push-button start. There’s also a standard trailer-prep package with a 5,000 pound towing capacity.

Competes with:
•Mazda CX-9
•KIA Sorrento
•Ford Edge
•GMC Terrain
•Dodge Journey
•Nissan Pathfinder

The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe offers a clean and modern design, intuitive controls, an extensive number of standard and optional features, plus power and good looks.
