The 2013 Toyota Highlander is a family friendly SUV that offers multiple trim levels: base, Plus, SE and Limited plus, the optional hybrid engine choice.

Standard on the Highlander is a three-zone automatic climate control with air filter. Our test vehicle was a Limited, which offered navigation with Toyota’s Entune® apps and JBL® which includes 6.1-in. touch-screen with integrated backup camera display, AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, nine JBL® speakers including subwoofer, SiriusXM Radio, HD Radio™ with iTunes® Tagging, USB port connectivity and control, and hands-free phone capability, advanced voice recognition and music streaming via Bluetooth®.

Highlander’s purposeful styling is complemented by elegant touches like chrome accents, color-keyed outside mirrors and door handles, and standard alloy wheels. Highlander SE adds integrated fog lights, a power tilt/slide moonroof and a power liftgate with jam protection.

Our drive across New York state showcased the powerful yet fuel-efficient V6. The seats were comfortable as well as adjustable with 2nd row reclining seats with innovative second-row seat design.
