The 2013 Cadillac XTS is a full-size luxury sedan with modern, impressive technology. Take a closer look with Lauren Fix, The Car Coach.

Model – 2013 Cadillac XTS
MPG – Combined 20 mpg.
Engine – 3.6L V6 engine with 300 hp. Riding on standard 19″ wheels with optional 20″ wheels.
Price – starts at $60,385
Test Vehicle – $64,695, which included the Driver Assist Package ($2395) and Crystal Red Tintcoat paint ($995).

The advanced all-wheel drive system of the 2013 Cadillac XTS handls very well in deep snow. Combined with the standard magnetic ride control, it offered a very comfortable ride on my six-hour test drive. The XTS offers heated seats and a heated steering wheel, as well as air-cooled seats for warmer days.

Every XTS comes with CUE (Cadillac User Experience), the brand’s new multimedia system with navigation, audio controls and connectivity. CUE is housed in the dashboard and center control panel. The 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is very user-friendly and is best with the Heads-Up display unit.

The short and long-range radar systems offered in the driver assist package support advanced safety features including adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision alert, safety alert seat (which vibrates the driver’s seat), and automatic front and rear braking to avoid a collision.

Competes with:
Audi A6
BMW 5 Series
Mercedes E350
Lincoln MKS
Volvo S80

New style and design
Powerful engine
Comfortable ride quality
Great sound system
CUE technology and connectivity system

It’s a large car, making it hard to park in urban areas.
I wish it offered self-parking, although the driver assistance package makes the job
easier than expected.

The all-new 2013 Cadillac XTS offers premium styling, comfort on the road and has a state-of-the-art multimedia system that’s easy to use.

Remember, when shopping for a new car, test drive as many vehicles as you can in the class you are looking in, to make sure you find the car that is best for you.
