The 2012 Hyundai Sonata has had a fresh, full redesign. Let’s take a closer look.

My test drive in the 2012 Hyundai Sonata SE provided a balance of comfort and control. The stylish coupe has enough power to pass almost any other car on the road due to dual-exhaust that increases the engine output to 200-hp.

The Sonata is a four-door, five-passenger sedan that has an established reputation for being well-built and an excellent value.

The front-wheel drive Sonata is offered in five trim levels: GLS, SE, SE 2.0T, Limited, and Limited 2.0T

Competes with –

Toyota Camry SE

Volkswagen Passat VR6 SEL

KIA Optima

Chevrolet Malibu

Honda Accord

Ford Fusion

Likes-

Lots of standard options

Stylish and comfortable interior
Great fuel economy

Long warranty

Dislikes-

Low-quality cloth seats

Base engine can be sluggish during highway passing

The 2012 Hyundai Sonata is a midsize sedan that is fresh, stylish and loaded with the latest technology for less than $30,000. It offers a large volume of features for its price.

Remember, when shopping for a new car, test drive as many vehicles as you can in the class you are looking in to make sure you find the car that is best for you.
