The 2011 Ford F-150 4×4 Supercrew comes with a complete luxury package inside. It’s a versatile work truck with great fuel economy.
The Ford F-150 pickup truck offers some sweeping changes for 2011. There are four new engines, including the new Ecoboost 3.5L V6.

The fuel-efficient 6-speed automatic transmission is equipped with a tow haul mode. It delivers considerable power and yet is very fuel efficient for a truck. I connected a loaded trailer and was impressed with the rearview camera for the easy hitching and towing capabilities of the Ecoboost engine.
Safety features include four-wheel ABS disc brakes, electronic traction and stability control, front and side airbags and the Safety Canopy side curtain airbags.
The F-150 is offered in 4×2 or 4×4 drive systems, three cab styles, three pickup box lengths and several options and option packages.
Available Ford exclusive features include SYNC, MyKey, SecuriLock, SecuriCode, SelectShift, retractable pickup box side steps, a tailgate step, and a variety of innovative options.
My long distance test drive in the F-150 was a real impressive as I drove through the recent hurricane in the Northeast. The Red Candy Metallic truck gave me confidence in handling and still offered a nicer ride than expected in a truck.
The inside was just as luxurious with leather-wrapped steering wheel, power moon roof, Sony Navigation and full luxury upgrades.
Competes with:
• Chevrolet Silverado 1500
• Dodge Ram 1500
• Toyota Tundra
Likes:
• New design and styling
• Comfortable interior
• Ford Sync system with Sony Navigation
• Power deployed running boards
• Heated and cooled driver seats
Dislikes:
• The cornering was truck-like
• Wish it came with diesel engine
• Power deployed running boards
The 2011 Ford F-150 Supercrew Platinum is not the truck your father drove 30 years ago; it’s sophisticated, functional and a great ride.
Remember, when shopping for a new car, test drive as many vehicles in the class you are looking in to make sure you find the car that is best for you.
